Hey students! My name is Ana. I'm an American that loves to travel, sing, and learn new things. I offer tutoring in four subjects: English, Math, Science and Violin.
English tutoring:
I started tutoring conversation classes when I was an undergraduate student and quickly fell in love! Conversation classes are fun and engaging. They're also an efficient way to improve one's language skills. I also LOVE discussing American idioms and phrasal verbs. Whether you're looking to improve your grammar or pronunciation or simply want to talk like a native, my classes will help you accomplish your goals!
Math tutoring:
I offer math lessons to K-12 students. My approach is to clearly explain the concepts and do a variety of exercises followed by quizzes and tests. If you feel that a specific topic is challenging for you, we can also just work on that. Math can be fun if you learn it the right way.
Science tutoring:
As a biophysics graduate, I have a deep passion for science. I love to share my knowledge with you. We cover all K-12 topics in physics, chemistry and biology, and we focus on problem solving skills and analytical discussions.
Violin tutoring:
I am also an accomplished violinist, with 21 years of experience playing the violin in grand orchestra, music shows and at live jazz venues. I teach both classical and jazz music. If you are interested in learning music theory, I can also teach you that.
How I structure classes:
1) discuss your goals, strengths, and weaknesses
2) create a personalized lesson plan for you based on your learning style
3) provide feedback and optional homework to help you accomplish your goals
I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Cheers,
Ana

Ana is a wonderful English tutor. She has helped both of my children with writing, vocabulary, and grammar. Her knowledge has made a remarkable difference in their school work.
We went over thing from my Microbiology class that I was lost in, I came in understanding nothing, I left with a lot of information! She was very familiar with the course and very helpful.
Ana was great at explaining. She helped me understand concepts by using other examples. I will now be confident taking my quizzes & exams.
Ana is an amazing tutor. Her individual lessons blend together to provide an overview on the building blocks of writing. Her analysis and examples help my son understand how his own voice can be found and put down on paper.
Ana exceeds my expectations with her for tutoring. She is engaging, technical, and theme focused. Could not ask for more. Thank you, Ana.
We are delighted to have found Ana. My son has a much deeper and clearer understanding of the material, he is more confident with his classwork and his grade is much better. We are very grateful to Ana.
Ana is amazing. She jumped right in and helped explain concepts in physics immediately. My daughter is so excited about her ability to master the class. We are very happy with her tutoring and plan to have a many more sessions!
Ana makes science fun and exciting! I love watching my daughter sip her orange juice and laugh while studying for a major science test. What makes this experience great is the positive association with science and an A on her test.
